MONTH OF APR 2019

Inter School Kho-Kho Competition

Inter School Kho-Kho competition was organised under 17 category boys and under 14/17 catergory girls, on 02 Apr and 10 Apr respectively at Soibug zonal level. The students of AGS, Hanzik secured first position in both the competitions. 

MONTH OF NOV 2018 :-

World Kickboxing Championship, Argentina

Master Abid Hamid and Master Hashim Ashraf made the school proud by their brilliant and Excellent performance at World Kickboxing Championship 2018 hosted at Buenos Aries, Argentina. Master Abid Hamid and Master Hashim Ashraf bagged Gold and Silver medal in the tournament. The duo have won a host of medals at national and domentic circuits and are training hard for the upcoming events.

MONTH OF SEP 2018 :-

District Level Martial Arts Competition

Students of AGS, Hanzik bought laurels to the school by securing  4 Gold Medals in district Level Martial Arts Boys Competition under 17 catergory, conducted at Sheikhul Aalam Stadium, Char-i-Sharief on 01 Sep 18. They were also selected for State level Martial Arts Competition.

Month of Aug 2018 :-

State Level Martial Arts Competition

Students of AGS, Hanzik bought laurels to the school by securing 5 Gold Medals in State Level Martial Arts Girls Competition (U-14/ U-17) and 4 Gold Medals in State Level Martial Arts Boys Competition (U-14/ U-17), conducted at Sports Stadium Budgam on 27 Aug 18. They were also selected for SGFI.

 

MONTH OF JUN :- 2018

Yoga for Teachers and Students of AGS, Hanzik

32 teachers/ sp staff and 350 Students of AGS, Hanzik participated in the Yoga event org by the Regt in School premises. 

 

Selection for World Kickboxing Championship, Argentina

Master Hashim Ashraf and Master Aabid Hamid, students of AGS, Hanzik have been selected to represent Team India at the World Kickboxing Championship at Buenos Aires in Argentina from 05 Nov to 10 Nov 18. These students have consistently performed in Martial Arts competitions at School, District, State, National and International level competitions during the last one year. Acknowledging their specific achievements in Kickboxing and based on their performances in the 63rd National School Games held at Patna in Dec 17, the students have been selected for this prestigious Tournament.

MONTH OF MAY :- 2018

 

Students of Army Goodwill School (AGS), Hanzik win 13 Medals at District Level Kickboxing Competition.  

Students of AGS, Hanzik, a School being run by CIF HQ (K) Sig Regt under Op Sadhbhavana, brought laurels to their families and the School, after securing top honours in the recently concluded District Kickboxing Championship org by District Kickboxing Association, Budgam at Govt Degree College, Beerwa on 12 May 18. A total of 320 students from 10 Schools and 06 Clubs had participated in this event. During the competition, six students of the School secured gold medals, two students secured silver medals and five students secured bronze medals. The gold medalist students have qualified for the State level competition. 

 

 

MONTH OF APR :- 2018

Students of AGS Hanzik win 02 X Gold and 01 x Silver Medals at Zonal Level Road Race Competitions.        

Students of AGS, Hanzik brought laurels to their families and the School, after securing top honours at the Zonal Level Road Race Competition held at Soibugh, Srinagar on 19 Apr 18. During the competition, two students secured gold medals, one each in Under 17 and Under 14 category respectively, while one student secured silver medal in the Under 17 category in 5 Kms run, which started at Soibugh and finished at Hanzik. The gold medalist students have qualified for District level competition.

MONTH OF FEB :- 2018

International Wushu Tournament in Russia.  Two students of Army Goodwill School (AGS) Hanzik represented ‘Team India’ in International Wushu Tournament at Moscow, Russia from 16 Feb to 21 Feb 18. Based on their achievements in the various National and State level tournaments and their continued good performance, the two students were selected to represent Team India. Their achievements in the tournament are as follows:-

Hashim Ashraf Bags Silver.  Hashim Ashraf, a Class X student of AGS, Hanzik, has bagged a silver medal at the Moscow Stars 2018, an International Wushu tournament which was held at Moscow, Russia, from 16-21 Feb. Fighting in the Below 56 Kg cat, Hashim had a dream run in the tournament. In the final bout, Hashim faced a tough competitor from Kazakhstan. It was a closely contested final, but Hashim, who had only few hours ago played his semifinal bout,             was not able to overcome the competitor from Kazakhstan. Hashim, who hails from Dharmonah village of Budgam District of J&K, was trained and sponsored by his school, AGS Hanzik. Army had always encouraged and motivated Hashim so as to help him in honing his sporting acumen continuously and help him achieve greater heights in terms of sporting glory.

 

ARMY GOODWILL SCHOOL, HANZIK STUDENTS SELECTED FOR MOSCOW WUSHU STARS 2018 WUSHU CHAMPIONSHIP

Master Hashim Ashraf and Master Aabid Hamid participated in the 63rd Kickboxing National Champonship held at Jammu earlier in the month of December 2017 where they both bagged Silver medal in their respective categories. They will be representing India at the Moscow Wushu Stars 2018 Wushu Championship at Moscow in Russia. This has been a tremendous feat for the school as a total of three students will be participating in events abroad. It is a matter of pride for the school with students representing their Nation overseas.

 

 

MONTH OF DEC 2017:-

ARMY GOODWILL SCHOOL, HANZIK BOY REPRESENTED J&K STATE AT NATIONAL LEVEL SCHOOL GAMES IN WUSHU COMPETITION

Army Goodwill School, Hanzik is one of the six Goodwill schools being run by Kilo Force under ‘Op Sadhbhavana’. Master Hashim Ashraf, student of Army Goodwill School Hanzik has brought laurels to the School by representing J&K State in the 63rd National School Games in Wushu competition held at Jammu from 19 Dec to 23 Dec 17.  The magnitude of his achievements can be gauged from the fact that he has earned the rare distinction of representing the State at the National level in two diverse games (Wushu and Kickboxing) in the present calendar year.  Master Hashim Ashraf has won a Silver medal by securing 2nd position in Under-17 category competition. This is an unprecedented feat in the School history. In January 2017, he had represented the State in Kickboxing competition at the 62ndNational School Games held in New Delhi, where he had won Gold medal. He has also been selected to represent Team India at the World Kickboxing Open Cup at Stockholm in Sweden in March 2018.    It is also highlighted that five students of Army Goodwill School, Hanzik were part of the 17 member J&K State Wushu team fielded during these National games.

STUDENTS OF ARMY GOODWILL SCHOOL, HANZIK WIN TWO MEDALS AT NATIONAL KICKBOXING CHAMPIONSHIP

Army Goodwill School, Hanzik is one of the six Goodwill schools being run by Kilo Force under ‘Op Sadhbhavana’.  Master Aabid Hamid & Miss Shaista Lateef, students of Army Goodwill School Hanzik have brought laurels to the School by winning a Silver medal and a Bronze medal respectively, while representing J&K State in the National Kickboxing Championship held at Patna from 27 Dec to 31 Dec 17.  Master Aabid Hamid has won a Silver medal by securing 2nd position in Junior category competition and Miss Shaista Lateef has won a Bronze medal by securing 3rd position in Sub Junior category competition. It is also highlighted that five students(two boys and three girls) of Army Goodwill School, Hanzik were part of the 55-member J&K State Kickboxing team fielded during these National championship.

STUDENTS OF ARMY GOODWILL SCHOOL HANZIK WIN FOUR MEDALS IN MARTIAL ARTS

Students of Army Goodwill School, Hanzik being run by Army under Operation Sadhbhavana have performed consistently in Martial Arts (Wushu and Kickboxing).  The students of the School brought laurels by winning 01 x Gold medal, 02 x Silver medals and 01 x bronze medal at the National School Games in Wushu and Kickboxing during the year 2017.  A total of 13 students had represented the J&K State School Teams at various National Games in Wushu & Kickboxing in year 2017.

MONTH OF MAY 2016:-

Runner's Up at District Level Wushu Championship

Students of AGS Hanzik flagged their potential in Sports by winning the Runner’s Up Trophy for the District Level Wushu Championship organised by JK Police in Dist Budgam. The competition was open for all the schools in which more than 500 students from 10 schools participated. Out of all schools, AGS Hanzik came second in the tally by winning 21 medals in total. 05 students namely Arjuman Hamid, Shahista Lateef, Inayat Rasool, Burhan Manzoor and Asma Bilal won Gold medals under various categories. 21 students qualified for State level Wushu Competition. 

In the District level Kho Kho competition organized at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Sheikh-Pora the girls of AGS Hazik made the school proud by qualifying for state level championship.Three girls namely Arjuman Hamid from Nusrullapora, Sadaf Bilal from Shaletang and Suriya Akhtar from Durbal were selected among 140 players under 14 category for the state level competitions.

MONTH OF JUNE 2016:-

District Level Badminton Competition

AGS Hanzik yet again excelled in the district level badminton competition for boys organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, Budgam at Spring Buds Institute, Ompora. Out of 180 participants from 22 schools, three boys from AGS Hanzik have been selected for divisonal level competition. Under 14 category Danish Rashid,  Mushahid Hassan and under 17 category Md.  Asif Bhat have demonstrated their potential to qualify for div level. They belong to Bemina, Qamarwari and Singhpora respectively. AGS Hanzik has flagged its excellence in sports through these achievements.

Girls of AGS Hanzik excelled in the district level badminton competition organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, Budgam. The competition was organized at Spring Buds Institute, Ompora where out of 190 participants four girls from AGS Hanzik namely Harsheen Kaur from Sharifabad, Suryia Majeed, Asra Zainab and Zainab Ali from Durbal were selected for divisonal level competition. This marks the hardwork and potential of the girls of AGS Hanzik.

 

 

MONTH OF MARCH 2017:-

T20 Cricket Tournament

T20 Cricket Tournament was organised from 6th March to 10th March 2017. In this tournament a total of six teams were participating from different AGS'S. AGS Hanzik had won two of its league matches and made it to the semifinals which was played on 8th of March 2017.

 

 

MONTH OF NOVEMBER 2017:-

Student selected for World Kickboxing Open Cup at SWEDEN

Master Hashim Ashraf is a Class IX student of Army Goodwill School, Hanzik, who has excelled in various Martial Arts like Wushu & Kickboxing.  The student has consistently performed in Martial Arts Competitions at School, District, State and National level competitions.  Acknowledging his specific achievements in Kickboxing and based on his performance in the 62nd National School Games held in New Delhi in January 2017, Master Hashim Ashraf has, now been selected to represent India at the World Kickboxing Open Cup at Stockholm in Sweden in Feb-Mar 2018.  Counter Insurgency Force Headquarters (Kilo) Signal Regiment has always encouraged and motivated Master Hashim Ashraf so as to help him in honing his sporting acumen continuously and help him achieve greater heights in terms of sporting glory.  Kilo Force will be sponsoring Master Hashim Ashraf to represent Team India in the forthcoming Kickboxing Open Cup at Sweden.

His inspired performance will serve as a motivation for other students to emulate and help bring more glory and success for the school in times to come. With the School and his family backing him, Master Hashim Ashraf is preparing hard for the World Level Championship to be held later in the Feb – Mar 2018. The School staff and the management have been in the forefront in identifying young talent and providing the students with such opportunities wherein they can channelise their energy towards a competitive and healthy future.

Achiever

Miss Arjumand Hamid, a Class Xth girl student of Army Goodwill School Hanzik has brought laurels to the School by representing J&K State in the 63rd National School Games in Wushu sport held at  Deshbhakta Tarun Ram Phukan Indoor Stadium, Guwahati from 02 Dec to 05 Dec 17.  The magnitude of her achievements can be gauged from the fact that she has earned the rare distinction of representing the State at the National level in two diverse sports (Athletics and Martial Arts) in the present calendar year. This is an unprecedented feat in the School history.  Earlier this year in November, she had represented the State in High Jump competition at the National level Athletics Meet at Bhopal, where she reached the finals of the event and secured overall sixth position.

Among her past achievements (2015-16 & 2016-17), she had made the School proud by her excellent performance in a national level event, 'Pedal for Kashmir'. She had excelled in athletics by bagging 1st position in State level High Jump competition and qualifying for national level and securing 5th position in under-14 category of the event.  She had also represented the State in the X-Country, 100-200m athletics, Kho-Kho and Wushu competitions.

Her inspired performance will serve as a motivation for other students to emulate and help bring more glory and success for the school in times to come. With the School and her family backing him, Miss Arjumand Hamid is putting her immense hard work and is leaving no stone unturned in making most of the opportunities. The School staff and the management have been in the forefront in identifying young talent and providing the deserving students with such opportunities wherein they can channelise their energy towards a competitive and healthy future, and be a part of mainstream society.
